Riphah "Double-A" 4.0 Benefit
Riphah uses an Absolute Grading System that is exceptionally rewarding at the top end. According to the official regulations:
The 4.0 Range: Both A+ (90%+) and A (80%-89%) carry 4.0 Grade Points. This means you don’t need a 90 to achieve a perfect GPA in a course.
The 75% Attendance Barrier: Be warned—if your attendance falls below 75%, you will be barred from the final exam, resulting in an “F” grade (0.00) which will significantly drop your CGPA.
Probation Alert: Undergraduate students falling below a 2.00 CGPA are placed on probation. If this status persists for three consecutive semesters, the university policy mandates relegation.

Riphah International University tracks every student’s academic health through a structured standing system. Here is what each level means for you.
Good Academic Standing
Your CGPA is at or above the minimum threshold for your degree level 2.0 for undergrad, 2.5 for graduate, 3.0 for PhD. You can register for the next semester without restrictions.

A CGPA that drops below the required minimum puts you on probation. At undergraduate level this means below 2.0. You are given a chance to recover, but the clock starts ticking. If your CGPA remains below the threshold for three consecutive semesters, you are relegated from the university.
Merit Honours and Scholarships
Riphah awards Merit Certificates, Scholarships, Gold Medals, and other Honours to students with outstanding academic performance. These are given for both academic excellence and co-curricular achievements. The CGPA thresholds for merit-based scholarship continuation are set at the programme level — always check your scholarship offer letter for the specific CGPA requirement tied to your award.
