Official SZABIST Grading Scale Table

Key points to remember:
- No grace marks are awarded at SZABIST. Your grade is based strictly on your scored marks.
- An Incomplete (I) grade is temporary. It does not affect your CGPA until it converts to a final grade.
- A Withdrawal (W) grade does not count toward your CGPA calculation.
- Always verify your final grades on the SZABIST student portal before drawing any conclusions.

How SZABIST GPA and CGPA Are Calculated
The SZABIST CGPA formula follows the standard grade points × credit hours method used by HEC-recognised universities across Pakistan. Here is how it works step by step:
Calculate Quality Points per Course:
Quality Points = Grade Points × Credit Hours
Find Your Semester GPA (SGPA):
SGPA = Total Quality Points for the Semester ÷ Total Credit Hours for the Semester
Find Your Cumulative GPA (CGPA):
CGPA = Total Quality Points from All Semesters ÷ Total Credit Hours from All Semesters
SZABIST CGPA to Percentage Conversion
Many Pakistani employers, government job applications, and overseas university admissions ask for a percentage instead of a CGPA. The standard conversion method accepted under HEC Pakistan guidelines is:
Percentage ≈ CGPA × 25
Example: A CGPA of 3.25 at SZABIST → 3.25 × 25 = 81.25%
This percentage converter is built directly into the SZABIST GPA calculator. For formal documents such as CSS exam applications, foreign university admissions, or employer verification — always use your official SZABIST transcript. The converted figure is an accepted estimate and not a replacement for official records.
