2 NUML Rules That Directly Affect Your GPA
Rule 1: 25% End-Term Minimum
This rule is written clearly in NUML’s Examination Rules but surprises many students. Even if your quizzes, assignments, and mid-term marks are all strong if you score below 25% in the final end-term examination, you fail the course. No exceptions. Your aggregate does not save you. This applies across all NUML campuses and all undergraduate faculties.
This is why consistent exam preparation matters more than just piling up internal marks and why tracking your academic standing every semester with the numl university islamabad gpa calculator online helps you stay alert before it is too late.
Rule 2 : 0.5 Marks Rounding Rule
NUML rounds your subject marks at 0.5. Specifically: a score of 69.5% becomes 70% pushing you from C+ territory into a B grade and moving your grade points from the 2.50–2.99 range into the 3.00–3.49 range. But 69.4% stays at 69% keeping you in C+ territory.
That 0.1% difference in raw marks can change your grade bracket, your grade points, and your final CGPA. Across multiple subjects in a semester, these rounding differences add up. Always check your exact marks on your result card before entering grades into the numl gpa calculator.
